NOTES:

1) The Astor Hotel has 2 towers: The newer Astor Tower, which shares the same set of elevators as the meeting area, and the "more historic" Alexa Tower, which is on the opposite side of the hotel.  The path from the Alexa Tower to the meeting area requires a walk through the hotel lobby. 

2) The hotel does NOT have a "club lounge" or similar.

3) All guestrooms in the both towers of the hotel have been renovated within the past year.

The Astor Hotel does NOT provide shuttle service to/from the airport.

REGISTRATION

The on-line registration system has been enabled.  

Meeting Registration   Early registration ends March 10 (to receive the US$50 early registration discount).  The on-line registration system will be disabled on March 29 to print name badges and to finalize counts. Note that the cost for walk-up registration for the meetings at the hotel is substantially higher than for registering on-line in advance. 

First-time, end-user attendees may request a promotional code for a complimentary meeting registration from transformers@ieee.org.  Note: A typical example of an end-user is someone who works for an electric utility or an industrial facility.  This offer is NOT extended to those who work for or represent an original equipment manufacturer (OEM), or a company which manufactures related components or materials.

Aquarium of the Americas - Tour the entire main building and major exhibits of the Aquarium of the Americas.  The colors of a Caribbean reef come alive in a walk-through tunnel, while penguins and Southern sea otters enchant you with their antics.  Marvel at gigantic sharks, tarpon and rays in the 400,000 gallon Gulf of Mexico exhibit and the Great Mayan Reef.
